| GENERAL COMMENTS |

"With the problems that were found in 2003 matrix, the 2006 matix become much more reliable in the same class of class. I have tried with both the 2003 and 2006 matrix. The engine noise has been sigigicant reduced. With the new 700 pics of safety equipemts install, I would say this is must have car. It just good to have this car compare with the Mazda 5 or 3. Comparing to mazda 5, it has much more space and more realistic to the real world. I am a 5'10' tall person, when I seat on the Mazda 5, the back seat(2nd or 3rd row) could only fit for my kid, the third row of seat is useless. Compare to the matrix, NO problem at all."

"Only so so comment is the wind noise. Engine noise is not nearly as bad as reported by others (it's quiter than my wifes Corrolla). Handles well, responds nice, rides nice and is plenty roomy inside (I'm a big guy - 6'2' 250 lbs) and I am very comfortable in this car."

"The Matrix I bought rides very smoothly and is very comfortable for a vehicle with so much practicality. My previous vehicle was a Toyota short bed truck and I like the fact that I still sit up higher in the driver's seat than most other passenger cars. The only complaint I have about driving it is that the automatic transmission shifts more loosely than I expected. There is a slight delay in power during the automatic shift from first to second gear. It could be more crisp when shifting. For my purposes, though, it's not really an issue. I bought it because of its storage/hauling ability and the flexibility in the cargo area setup. I love the visibility compared to my truck, which had a cap on it that restricted the visibility."

" Its a corolla. For the price, its hard to beat. My car purs like a kitten. handles curves and for a 1.8 liter engine it mantians zip through all gears and gives me 42mpgs. looks good for a corolla. Id buy another."

"I have a new automatic 4/4, 2006 Martix , purchased in December, 2005. In the four months I have owned the car, four separate random times the gears have slipped from automatic to second gear while driving nearly 50 mph. Because the condition cannot be replicated, the dealership is not interested..in fact I think they think I am nuts! My fear is that it will happen on a freeway and cause a serious accident. Obviously the car slows suddenly with no brake lights. Does anyone have any advice? Has this happened to others?"
