Motorsports country clubs, where a race course replaces the traditional 18-holes of golf, are sprouting like weeds around the country to serve an increasingly wealthy population that can afford a weekend toy like the Lotus Sport Exige Cup. On the track, this featherweight sports car will blast to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds, surpass 100 mph in 9.8 seconds, and reach a terminal velocity of 160 mph. The price for this performance is $84,990 plus delivery fees, and Lotus will feed the need for speed on a first-come, first-served basis.
