The look says it all: don’t mess with me. From the Cobra on the grille to the racing stripe and the beefy tires, the 2007 Ford Shelby GT500 won’t likely be mistaken for a Mustang V6 automatic, yuck-yuck…and you can bet you’ll get a wide berth when you roll, as the GT500’s style gives people a good look at those 475 horses. Indeed, with the whole retro/muscle/pony car craze of late, one could say that the 2007 Ford Shelby GT500 is exactly the way one of these big, bad boys should look. Aside from the obvious differences between roof styles, the 2007 Ford Shelby GT500 coupe and convertible look identical save for one interesting little detail: the stripe. On the coupe, you get the racing stripe in all its glory, coating the hood, roof, and rear deck. But there is no such center stripe on the convertible, simply because it was not offered on the original GT500. Instead, convertible buyers get a more subtle stripe along the bottom of the doors.
